DC-55 is staffed 23 hours a day, seven days a week (the building is closed on Saturday). KeHE can dial the crew up or down with the scale below.

5 technicians. Deep clean, floor scrubbing, dock reset, and sanitation while the aisles are clear.
The one hour that is not staffed
5:00 AM to 6:00 AM is reserved for floor dry time before the first pickers walk the aisles. Everything else in the day is covered, and the outgoing lead hands off to the incoming lead in writing.

Each block is one hour. The warehouse floor holds 4 technicians in every block, breaks included.
Weekly schedule — Sunday through Friday
Same crew, same aisles, every service day. Sunday runs a lighter day shift because the building is quieter, and the night crew uses it for the deep-clean catch-up. The building is closed on Saturday.

Technicians rotate on an A/B pattern so no one works more than 6 of the 7 days, and every shift still starts fully staffed.
Call-outs
Two trained floaters are on standby. A call-out is backfilled before the shift starts — the floor count never drops.

Coverage runs on holidays unless KeHE asks otherwise, confirmed in writing 7 days out.

Every aisle has a named owner for the whole shift, so KeHE always knows who cleaned and checked a location. Zones re-balance automatically when the floor count changes.

Shift length

Breaks
30 to 60 minutes, taken one person at a time. The break relief technician takes that aisle zone, so the floor still holds 4.
Crew size can be adjusted with 7 days' notice. Any change is confirmed in writing with KeHE before it takes effect.
Safety managers enter the staffing they have, the rules the shift has to follow, and which aisles matter most. The builder returns a written coverage plan — shifts, roles, aisle owners, breaks, and risks. The DC-55 baseline is 11 people covering 23 hours a day.
Operations managers can upload the schedule they already keep — a CSV or text export — and get back the coverage gaps in plain language plus a recommended crew assignment for every shift.
How KeHE sees the proof
